Layoffs and recession are darlings of the news these days. I thought I would run some numbers just to understand the situation better. Here is a list of companies posting layoffs according to Crunchbase compared to their net profit and loss (for public companies) over the last four quarters. This may be interesting to monitor observing which profitable companies will use the movement to streamline.
